On March 3, the Second Session of the 12th National Committee of CPPCC was grandly held in Beijing Great Hall. As a member of National Committee of CPPCC, Chak Meihing, president of Heung Kong Group, went to Beijing to attend the session.
To positively offer advice and suggestions is an important duty for a member of National Committee of CPPCC. In this session, Chak Meihing started from five hot issues (namely left-behind children, civil servants, democratic supervision, financial budget and moral education) concerned by all walks of life and submitted five proposals including The Proposal Concerning Establishing the Guarantee Mechanism for Left-behind Children. In her proposal, Chak Meihing profoundly revealed the causes for the above problems and put forward the corresponding suggestions by combining her investigation, thinking and experience.
During NPC and CPPCC, various issues were strongly concerned by the ordinary people. Many CPPCC and NPC members were “encircled” by domestic and foreign media when they appeared. As an attendee of CPPCC, Chak Meihing concerned about people's livelihood, presented her insightful views and was thus interviewed by CCTV, People’s Daily, Nanfang Daily, Guangdong TV, Guangzhou Daily and Southern Metropolis Daily etc.
